Our sponsorship of the 'Eat, Drink and Be Rosemary' show garden at #RHSMalvern

The #RHSMalvern is now open from today until this Sunday. See our sponsored show garden by garden designer and horticulturalist Laura Ashton-Phillips called the 'Eat, Drink and Be Rosemary' cottage garden. Sponsored by Gabriel Ash, Gloucestershire County Council and Gloucestershire Managed Services.

Laura's garden won an RHS medal award and this isn't her first. As a new regular garden designer at the RHS Malvern Spring Festival, this is her third award at the show. This particular garden demonstrates the beauty and benefits of planting and constructing with nature in mind from the use of local, native wildflowers to sculptural log piles.

The garden is a space for a young, environmentally conscious family to escape the whirlwind of everyday life. There are areas for growing and eating your own produce. Playing and learning about nature, with habitat creation designed into the various elements of the garden.

The hectic nature of the modern world can lead to increasing levels of stress and anxiety for children and adults alike. This space allows a family to come together and connect with nature, to listen to birdsong, to grow and eat a fresh tomato.

The garden is also sustainable in numerous ways:

• The garden build will be cement-free.
• All plants used in this design have been grown in peat-free compost.
• The design embraces upcycling and reusing products, including using reclaimed hard landscaping materials.

The entire build process has been designed with zero wastage in mind with all materials being repurposed as part of a children’s mental health and wellbeing garden at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital following the Festival.
